ISA Public Relations and Merchandising Committee’s Mission:
The Pubic Relations and Merchandising Committee is a group of ISA members committed to spreading the word about ISA’s presence and events on the Northwestern campus. Whether it be advertising through Facebook, photos, videos, posters, flyers, chalk, or from our verCy own vocal chords, each member of the Public Relations committee is passionate about letting people know how wonderful this organization truly is. This committee is perfect for anyone with an interest in marketing/advertising, visual arts, photography, videography, merchandising, business/interacting with sponsors, communications, and basically an enthusiasm for promoting ISA. No prior skills are necessary, and the committee chair is pretty awesome

Kuan-Yu Shen
Kuan-Yu Shen was born in Taiwan, but spent most of her life growing up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She is currently a freshman studying at SESP, and planning to double major in LOC (Learning and Organizational Change) and Psychology. Kuan-Yu loves to read, travel, shop and hang out with her friends. She’s fun and enjoys herself most of the time, but she’s also serious when she needs to be. She has an obsession for green tea and any food that’s Malaysian. Outside of academics, she works for North by Northwestern, and she’s also involved in ASG. Kuan-Yu’s ultimate dream is to be rich and live in the center of New York City.

Akhil Menon
Akhil Menon is an indian fellow who was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. He is a sophomore studying economics, business, and marketing. Akhil enjoys listening to great music. You won’t learn much about him by reading this, so you should have a conversation with him instead.

Jade Chen
Jade Chen is a Medill freshman currently pursuing a journalism degree. She loves taking naps, consuming sinful amounts of carbs, and listening to filthy dubstep. She’s also really good at keeping secrets and making instant ramen. As a U.S. citizen, Jade technically isn’t an “international student”, but the 9 years she spent living in Beijing and the frequency with which she travels validate her as a lover of global culture, which is all anyone really needs to be a part of the ISA family ♥
Jhennielle Francis
Jhenielle Francis is a British Jamaican who was born and raised in St.Elizabeth, Jamaica. She is currently a freshman majoring in Biological Sciences in Weinberg. She is a classic Jamaican when it comes to loving Bob Marley but she also loves music,sleeping, traveling, going out with friends, meeting new people and exploring new and exciting things. Her greatest aspiration is to become one of the world’s top plastic surgeons.
Joo Hee Kim
Joo Hee Kim was born in South Korea, but she went to boarding school in Connecticut for middle and high school. She is a freshman in Weinberg, considering majoring in Psychology and Anthropology. Joo Hee loves to eat, sing, and sleep. She likes eating pumpkin bread, sour dough, and kimchi stew in particular. Also, she is crazy about plump, rotund objects and playmobil.

Nicha is from Thailand, but she had also her childhood years living in Jakarta, Indonesia. As a Freshman in McCormick, she plans to major in Industrial Engineering and possibly Economics. Nicha loves to travel and explore the different sceneries and food that each country has to offer. She is obsessed with Japanese and Thai food. Her favorite place to be is the beach, and she loves to go diving. Her greatest aspiration is to invent something that will fascinate the world.
Rebecca Lai
Rebecca Lai was born in Perth, Australia. She moved to Hong Kong when she was 5. She is currently a freshman majoring in journalism in Medill. She loves hanging out all day and doing nothing, but she understands life’s not that easy. She works hard when she has to. She also works for North by Northwestern and Stitch.
