Members:
Meghana Puri
Meghana Puri lived in Mumbai, India for the first 13 years of her life before moving to Singapore. Now her parents are in Switzerland, so she’s basically an international homeless person. She is a sophomore in WCAS hoping to double-major in Psychology and Economics. She greatly enjoys the food (especially in Singapore), cupcakes, hanging out with friends, random adventures, and reading. One day, she hopes to fulfill her childhood dream of owning a dog.
Chrysa Cheronis
Chrysa is a freshman in Northwestern and is from Athens, Greece. She is undecided but will probably end up majoring in Political Science or International Studies. She loves puppies, traveling, and thought that she loved snow before coming to Northwestern. She has no football/soccer skills whatsoever but is a huge fan of the Greek team Panathinaikos. She decided to be a part of World Cup because it not only unites students through football, but because it also has a cultural side to it.Other than that, Chrysa’s passions are dance, playing the piano and photography (although the latter she hasn’t quite mastered yet)
Franklin Di
Xiyao (Franklyn) Di was born in Nanjing, but spent first eighteen years of his life there. Then he spent 13 hours on the plane to come here. He is currently a sophomore studying at Mccormick, planning to double major in industrial engineer and econ. Franklyn is crazy about to F1 and basketball, and sometimes he also loves to shop and watch K-dramas. He’s funny most of the time, but also serious when needed to be. Franklyn’s ultimate dream is to own an NBA team and travel around the world.
Jayshree
Jayshree is Indian but grew up in both New Delhi and Singapore. She has attended international schools her whole life and because of that loves meeting everyone from everywhere! She’s a junior double majoring in English Literature and International Studies and is involved ISA, GES, NUMUN, and The 195. She’s clumsy. She scares easily. She laughs at everything.
Maddie Bryen
Madelaine Bryen is a sophomore in the Medill School of Journalism, studying IMC. She hopes to take the skills she learns at Northwestern and someday work on a production team for a Sitcom. Madelaine grew up and was raised in the glamorous state that is Michigan and is thrilled to be living close to Chicago. She enjoys speaking French, traveling, meeting new people, laughing and theater. In fact, she has previously performed in plays at Northwestern. Madelaine is also a member of ISA World Cup and briefly contributed to The Current. She hopes to learn more ways to flirt in Chinese by being a part of ISA!
Na Hee Kang
Na Hee was born in Korea, but spent 4 years in Suzhou, China where she attended an international school. She is now a freshman studying Communication Studies. Interested in business, she has joined ISBE Arch Capital and AKPsi business fraternity. She loves baking sweet goodies and eating them. She is facing challenge everyday to fend off the freshman 15 (kgs). Let’s hope she wil succeed. Her dream is to open up a small bakery cafe of her own after retirement.
Peter Skopec
Peter Skopec is from Vienna, Austria, where he lived until coming to Northwestern. He’s a senior studying Political Science, International Studies and French, and is in the Brady Scholars ethics program. When he’s not doing schoolwork, participating in ISA-activities, or worrying about his employment prospects, Peter likes to spend time in beautiful downtown Chicago. He also enjoys winter sports and watching movies, though he’s never seen “The Sound of Music” (probably the most famous film set in his home country). Peter dreams of having a job some day!
